Logging a set in PRactical is designed to take 2 taps. Here's exactly how it works.
Start an active workout
Go to the Workout tab and start a new workout (or resume one in progress). Add the exercise you're about to perform if it's not already on the list.
Enter weight and reps
Tap the weight field next to the set row and enter how much you lifted. Then tap the reps field and enter how many reps you completed.
Tap the checkmark
Tap the checkmark button to confirm the set. It's logged instantly. A rest timer starts automatically so you know when you're ready for the next set.
PRactical remembers the weight and reps from your last logged set for each exercise. When you open a new set row, the previous values are already there — just adjust if needed and confirm.
Frequently asked questions
What units does PRactical use for weight?
PRactical currently logs weight in pounds (lbs).
Can I log bodyweight exercises?
Yes. PRactical automatically handles volume for bodyweight movements using research-backed estimates (for example, a push-up is counted at 68% of bodyweight). You just log reps as normal — no need to enter a weight. You can customise the percentage used for each movement in Settings under 'Bodyweight Volume Calculations'.
