Hevy lets you export your full workout history as a CSV file from its web app. You can then upload that file to PRactical from any desktop browser in just a few steps.

Export your data from Hevy

On your computer, go to hevy.com and sign in to your Hevy account. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select 'Settings'. In the Settings page, find the 'Export' section and click 'Export Workouts (CSV)'. Hevy will generate the file and download it to your computer automatically.

Open PRactical import on your computer

In the same browser (or a new tab), go to practicalworkouts.com/import. Sign in with your PRactical email and password — the same credentials you use in the mobile app.

Upload the Hevy CSV file

On the upload screen, drag the Hevy .csv file into the drop zone or click 'click to browse' and select it from your Downloads folder. PRactical automatically detects the Hevy format. Click 'Import Workouts' and the import runs in the background — it usually completes within a few seconds.

Check your history in the app

Open PRactical on your phone. Pull down on the History tab to refresh, and your imported Hevy workouts will appear sorted chronologically alongside your existing PRactical sessions.

Can't find the export option on Hevy?

The export option is only available on the Hevy website (hevy.com), not in the mobile app. Make sure you're logged in on a desktop browser. If you can't see the option, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.

Frequently asked questions

Will my Hevy routines and templates import too?

The CSV export from Hevy contains workout history only, not routine templates. Your logged sets, exercises, and dates will all import correctly, but you'll need to recreate any routines as workout templates inside PRactical.

My Hevy export file is very large — will the import still work?

Yes. PRactical handles large CSV files. If you have several years of workout history, the import may take a little longer, but it will complete successfully.

What if an exercise name in Hevy doesn't match a PRactical exercise?

PRactical matches exercise names intelligently during import. If a name doesn't match a built-in exercise, it will be created as a custom exercise under that name, preserving all your set data.
