Your first workout in PRactical is as simple as picking exercises and tapping through your sets. Here's the flow from start to finish.
Tap the Workout tab
Open PRactical and tap 'Workout' in the bottom navigation. If you have no workout in progress, you'll see two buttons: 'Start Workout' to begin a strength session, and 'Log Cardio' to record a standalone cardio session without starting a full workout. Tap 'Start Workout' to get going.
Add your first exercise
Tap the orange '+' button in the bottom-right corner of the Workout screen, then tap 'Add Exercise'. The exercise picker opens. Search by name or scroll through the library of 73+ exercises. Tap any exercise to add it to your workout.
Log your sets
Each exercise shows a row for weight and reps. Enter the weight you lifted, enter the reps you completed, and tap the checkmark — that's it. The set is logged. Repeat for each set. When you're done with all your exercises, tap 'Finish Workout'.
PRactical keeps your workout state even if you close the app mid-session. Come back later and it'll be right where you left it.
Frequently asked questions
What if I don't see an exercise I want?
You can create a custom exercise. Tap 'Create Custom Exercise' at the bottom of the exercise picker and give it a name.
Can I delete a set I logged by mistake?
Yes. In the active workout screen, tap the delete icon next to any logged set to remove it.
I only did cardio today — do I still tap 'Start Workout'?
No. Tap 'Log Cardio' instead. It records your cardio session without starting a full workout, and the entry still appears in your history.
